Wastelands - David Mercado

        For this project I immediately thought about “The Amazing World Of Gumball”. In that show many characters are in different art styles and somehow don’t clash with each other, whether it’s 2D or 3D next to the photoshopped background images. So for my visual blooper I wanted to imitate that show’s example of blending different styles. However I couldn’t decide on just one moment, so I decided to combine various pieces to have a wordless storyline.  The main focus being how Homer was sent to court and later jail. The remaining characters' key purpose is to illustrate the absurdity of Homer's actions. All the photos I found were from using Google's search engine. Majority were png or jpeg however I did face some being “webp”,  I got around it by opening them in a new tab and later copy pasting them.

 

        I should mention for this assignment I used the software called FireAlpaca. For the next assignment I do want to primarily use PhotoShop to get more experience  using that software as FireAlpaca I've been using for a year. For this work the masking tool was primarily used to help hide any excess parts. I do think I could have used more of the magic wand to get more spots to have it less apparent. I used a smaller brush. Another thing I could have done is have a border splitting each part similar to a comic book. Cause I do think it may be too cluttered. However I did enjoy the process of this piece in general.
